Ryan and Carina first met in February of 2023 when Carina started working at PetSmart. In the beginning the two only really talked when at work together, and Ryan helped Carina get her footing in her first two weeks at PetSmart. Shortly after Carina started, Ryan switched from the cashier position to a stocker position, meaning the two rarely, if ever, had overlapping shifts at the store. In April of 2023, Carina took a trip to England to visit her sister & family who were temporarily living in Oxford. During this time, she also visited a friend from college who is from the London area. In the second half of the trip, when visiting her friend, she stumbled upon a hinge notification from Ryan. The message stated "funny running into you here", and because Carina recognized him from work, she responded. From that moment on, the two started texting and seem to have never stopped talking since. When Carina returned from England, the two hung out for the first time where Ryan sat through a Heathers marathon (the movie AND musical), and went on their first official date at SouthSide Tavern in Braintree. From the start, Carina & Ryan knew that their relationship was the real deal, so much so that Carina met Ryans brother the very same night as their first date. Over the course of their relationship, the two have supported each other through finishing school, searching for and starting new jobs, adding two kitties and a frog to the family, moving into their first apartment together, making new friends, traveling out of the country together(and for Ryan it was his first ever international trip!), attending weddings for loved ones, and so much more. Carina and Ryan are very excited to start the rest of their lives together, and are so grateful for the family, friends, and loved ones that will share their special day with them.
