The Wedding Website of Meagan O’Brien and Michael O’Brien
Come away with us to the beautiful country of Ireland. Don't forget to check your passport expiration date early and keep your eyes out for flight deals!

Flight

Dublin Airport

Dublin is about an hour away from Kilkea Castle, so this airport is the most convenient. Reminder to check your passport's expiration early in the planning process! Upon landing in Ireland, you will need to provide the address of where you are staying to Emigration. Be sure to have this on hand for easy access. When flying out of Dublin airport to the US, passengers go through US Customs Pre-screening, so you do not go through Customs once back in the US. Because of this, prepare to arrive to the airport at least 3 hours early to give enough time to check in, go through security, and clear customs.

Rental Car

Car Rental

The easiest method to travel from Dublin to Kilkea Castle is via car rental. Many options for car rental are available at the Dublin Airport or in the Dublin city center. Don't forget that the Irish drive on the left side of the road! Rental insurance is a little different in Ireland and many US car insurance providers don't cover Ireland. Be sure to check with your car insurance provider prior to departure to ensure you are covered. If you are planning to use your credit card, you may need to provide a proof of insurance letter.

Travel Note
