Although we really love your kids, we would love for our wedding to be your night off. If your kids are joining you on the trip to Ireland, please let the reservations team at Kilkea Castle know if you are interested in securing trusted childcare during the wedding events.
Feel free to add your dietary restrictions to your RSVP or email the bride and groom directly at theobriens2022@gmail.com and we'd be happy to accomodate!
Your presence at the wedding will be gift enough! For those who do decide to send something along, our registry page has information for where to ship gifts so you don't have to find room in your luggage for added items!

Ireland uses the Euro (€), like most of Europe, while Northern Ireland, Scotland, and the United Kingdom use the Pound (£). Currency can be exchanged before you depart, at the airport or in downtown Dublin. The airport tends to have the least favorable exchange rates. Check if your credit card has any international fees, and be sure to let the company know your travel plans to avoid your card being frozen! Ireland also frequently uses tap to pay (with card or Apple/Google pay), so be sure to set this up before you travel for quick check outs.

The Irish drive on the left-side of the road, similar to the UK. Although this can be tough to pick up at first, it can be learned fairly quickly. Also, it is very common for most cars in Ireland to have manual transmissions. If you plan on renting a car, be sure to note if you prefer a manual or automatic transmission. The roads from Dublin to Kilkea Castle are mainly 4 lane highways or 2 lane roads (no single lane, rural roads). Don't forget to check your car insurance policy to confirm it will cover car rental in Ireland. See the Travel page for more details on this.
Over 35% of addresses in Ireland share their address with at least one other property, making it difficult to find the location of a specific address. Unlike other countries where postcodes define a cluster or group of addresses, in Ireland a unique Eircode is assigned to each residential and business postal address. An EIRCODE is NOT a postal code, but a specific number representing coordinates for addresses in Ireland.
