Yes, there is a dress code. Formal "black" black-tie. For men, this means a black tuxedo with a white or ivory dress shirt and black bow-tie. For women, this means a black floor-length formal gown. Adhering to this dress code is required and is strictly enforced.
Some of the wedding will be outside yes. The ceremony will be in the Italian Gardens which is outside and the cocktail hour will be held on the great lawn which is also outside. The reception will be held outside as well but tented, and the afterparty will be held inside in the ballroom.
We certainly hope this doesn't happen, however, if the weather is fussy, the ceremony will be moved from the Italian Gardens to The Great House and will take place in-doors/under a tent. The cocktail hour will be moved to inside the Great House in the Great Hall, and the reception will remain in the tent.
Our room block is at the Fairmont Copley Plaza if you'd like to reserve accommodations there. If not, we've included several additional hotel options in Boston proper including: The Newbury Hotel, XV Beacon, and Raffles Boston. If staying away from the city is of interest, we've also included some hotels closer to the wedding venue.
Yes, there will be scheduled transportation from The Fairmont Copley Plaza for you to get to and from the wedding venue. Transportation will leave promptly at 4:15pm.

Please do let us know. Your safety is of the utmost importance to us. Dinner choices will be included in the formal wedding invitation being sent out in the spring. Please be sure to note any allergies there as well and don't hesitate to reach out to Jacob or I with any concerns.
We will also have an attendant at the wedding venue's door to assist you with bags, jackets, changes of shoes, etc. Upon your arrival at The Crane Estate, all items will be kept in a secured area on the first floor upon request for you to access at your leisure.
Wonderful. We will have a designated area in the great hall before the ceremony where you can drop off your cards. An attendant will be there to welcome you and direct you. If you'd prefer to give a gift, please visit our registry page.
We understand that not everyone will be able to attend our Welcome Party at the Oak Long Bar & Kitchen at The Fairmont Copley Plaza. If you can't make it, please let us know by replying back to the formal invitation upon receipt. Your presence will be missed, but of course, understand!
We love kids but this is strictly an adults-only party which means guests must be 18+. And as for plus ones, we are keeping the wedding a tight-knit group of under 100 people, so no plus ones, please.
