Coast Walk Trail
It's easiest to start near the Cave Store (1325 Coast Blvd, La Jolla, CA 92037) and walk along the coast. Note parking can be challenging in this area.
Torrey Pines Gliderport
Great views of San Diego overlooking Black's Beach, and really cool to watch the gliders on a windy day!
Windansea Beach
One of our favorite local beaches; we love taking Sadie here at sunset. It's also a favorite surfing spot of Joe's!
Calumet Park
Nicknamed (by us) as "the backyard" - just two blocks from our home, we visit this park at least once a day! Great place to watch the sunset, do yoga (10 AM on Sundays!) or just hang out.
Bird Rock Coffee Roasters - La Jolla
Found in our beloved neighborhood of Bird Rock, this is the go-to neighborhood coffee spot!
San Diego Zoo
No explanation necessary! One of the country's best zoos.
Beaumont's
In our beloved neighborhood of Bird Rock, Beaumont's is the local watering hole. They have great happy hour specials (even on the weekends!) - open for brunch/lunch/dinner on the weekends, and dinner during the week.
Puesto La Jolla

Petco Park
The Padres are playing Joe’s beloved Mets in NY during our wedding weekend, but have a few home games earlier in the week. Petco Park is such a fun venue, with tons of bars/restaurants surrounding the stadium.
USS Midway Museum
The USS Midway Museum is a historical naval aircraft carrier museum located in downtown San Diego, California at Navy Pier. Take a tour of the Midway and then check out the nearby Bayfront/Seaport Village areas. *Recommended to buy tickets in advance if you want to tour the Midway.
Hotel del Coronado
Visit the historic Hotel del Coronado, a historic landmark that has welcomed guests like Marilyn Monroe, FDR, Liberace, and MANY more. Grab a drink on the large deck overlooking the ocean, or explore the island that houses the Navy Seals! There are many other food/drink options in Coronado (we love Buona Forchetta for pizza, pasta, and wine.)
Kayaking in La Jolla Shores
