Mill Mountain Star
The Mill Mountain Star is a Roanoke landmark. There's an accessible overlook where you can see the surrounding valley and Blue Ridge Mountains.

One of Thomas' favorite spots in Roanoke. It's on the 2nd floor of Center in the Square in Downtown Roanoke. Once you purchase a museum ticket, you can access the arcade. All games are free play!
Roanoke Pinball Museum

Stoney Brook Vineyards
One of our favorite wineries that's just off of I-81. Our favorite wine is the "Hankern' Red." If you're looking for a sweeter selection, they also offer fruit wines.
Beliveau Farm Winery
One of our favorite wineries. They have a number of award-winning wines to choose from, like the Soul Singer! They also make gluten-free beer.
Blue Ridge Parkway (CLOSED)
UPDATE: The entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway (including Virginia) is closed indefinitely as crews work to repair the damage caused by Hurricane Helene. Need to take a quiet drive? Want to take in some mountain views? Hit the Blue Ridge Parkway! From Milepost 110 to Milepost 121, there are several access points to the Parkway in the Roanoke area.
