Minnesota can get hot and humid in the mid-day. It will then cool off at night. We recommend packing like you would for a lake house summer vacation. Bring bathing suits, shorts, t-shirts, sunscreen, and maybe a few long sleeves. There can also be occasional summer rain showers.
Unfortunately, we are trying hard to ensure our wedding day is as intimate as possible. This means that only guests listed on the invitation are invited to attend. We really appreciate the understanding on this.
We know it was a bold choice hosting a wedding in the middle of summer! With that being said, we encourage our guests to get dressed up, but plan for the weather. It will likely be a little warm at the reception, so men are welcome to wear nice shorts and a collared shirt, while the ladies are encouraged to wear a cocktail dress or sundress. The reception is outside and we plan to dance the night away, so be sure to bring a comfortable change of shoes.
This is completely up to you! If you are interested in exploring Minnesota, take the long way and drive up. You might even be able to catch a Twins game in Minneapolis. However, if you want to just attend the wedding weekend, then head out of town, we recommend a direct flight into Brainerd.
