Maid of Honor
Amy and I met freshman year at UIC. We were put together for an English project and I thought she was scary because she was so serious and studious. I got to know Amy better through AAIV at UIC. We became roommates for three years and #1 chingoodachis during that time. We watched Lord of the Rings non stop almost every day, forging a bond as unbreakable as the One Ring. I would bother Amy until she took a break from studying to play with me. I am so honored to be Amy’s Maid of Honor. I feel like I get to be the Sam to her Frodo (I would walked to Mordor with youuuuu). I wish Amy and Aaron all the happiness in the world. May the force be with you both :D
Best Man
I met Aaron in high school, and we were roommates all four years at UC Irvine. We both had the same major too, so we spent a ton of time together both at home and in class. Throughout college we had lots of fun playing board games, going to Carls Jr (student meal deal!), and coming up with new words for our own weird language. Over the years Aaron has been an amazing brother in Christ, and has helped me grow in my faith. When I met Amy a few years ago, I remember being surprised by how similar her and Aaron were - especially for their shared love of Lord of the Rings! I am so excited to see how God will grow Aaron and Amy through marriage, and how their relationship will glorify Christ.
Bridesmaid
Amy and I were childhood best friends; we endured middle school puberty and high school life of math team and badminton together. We visited each other at college and saw each other’s graduate school stress and now to her beautiful wedding day. I am blessed to not only be Amy’s bridesmaid but a grateful friend that grew with her in many chapters of her life. And am so excited for this new one with Aaron. ❤
Groomsman
Aaron and I met the first week of pharmacy school through various new student events. We ended up joining similar student groups including the Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International and pledging Kappa Psi, and even started exploring churches in Chicago together. Our friendship naturally grew and we became roommates. As roommates, we had our fair share of food “DUHLEEVEREH” and board game nights. Favorite memory with Aaron would have to be the time we got Chinese food together. I decline to elaborate what transpired, but Aaron (and maybe Amy) knows what happened. It was a true bonding moment and was a peak bonding moment for us roommates. Aaron will always be my #1 troll and board gamemaster. Grateful for our friendship and I’m so happy for you and Amy! Go Padres. 2027 champs.
Bridesmaid
Amy and I met our freshman year of UIC undergrad. Since then, we became roommates for 1 year and did everything together! We studied together, ate every meal together and did extracurricular activities together. The only time we would not be together is to sleep! Amy finished undergraduate one year before me but we reunited again at UIC College of Pharmacy. Through Amy, I joined Kappa Psi and I had the honor of becoming Amy’s little :) I can’t wait to see their love for each other grow and flourish. I wish Amy and Aaron the best on their lifelong journey together!
Groomsman
Aaron and I met during our first year of residency. We were based out of the same hospital and immediately in the first week we hit it off. The endless inside jokes starting piling up and any normal person would probably say, “what da, in da universe?” That’s an inside joke, would you look at what I did there? (Bam, another one). Not only did the jokes pile up but the amount of pizza and food places we explored racked up too. We love eatgin (No, that’s not a typo). Real talk though, Aaron is one of the most kind and genuine guys I’ve ever met but he is also the biggest troll I’ve ever met. Okay, I’m done now Lol. Aaron and Amy, I wish you a life full of happiness and love!
Bridesmaid
Amy and I grew up together, and we've been through lots of ups and downs together both in Korea and in the US. Though we may not be the perfect siblings in the world (is there anyone who grew up without quarrels?), I can't imagine someone else as my sister, none other than Amy! Amy is a very warm-hearted person with a wonderful singing voice (Yes she's got all the music genes). How she constantly shows love for other people always surprises me. Since I moved back to Korea in 2015, it's been a bit difficult to see each other often but we keep chatting online with Facetime and KakaoTalk. Although now we're walking different paths each in Korea and in the US, I hope her new path with Aaron be full of joyful adventure!
Groomsman
I was first nervous around Aaron because I assumed that he would be intimidating as the protective older brother of my fiancée, Rebecca. However, in the time that I’ve known him, I’ve been able to observe his easy going and good humored nature. As for Amy, although I haven’t had the opportunity to spend as much time with her, I noticed our similarities in having quieter personalities and tending to be more absorbed in thought - especially when we play strategy-heavy board games! I’m sure that Aaron will always find a way to make Amy laugh or smile and their personalities will complement each other well as they grow together in Christ and serve as a couple. I’m excited for them to be married and to have more opportunities to hang out with them as ga-jok (Korean word for family).
