It started as a typical day during our annual trip to Mammoth Lakes, CA. Desi's family had convinced her that they were headed to Twin Lakes for a lovely lunch, so she made sure to dress up for the occasion, perfect for photos, or so she thought! The morning was filled with fun activities like pickleball, a delicious breakfast prepared by Melody, and a cozy movie session of Pocahontas as the girls got ready. Sean casually mentioned that he needed to run to the “store” and insisted that Desi stay behind to relax. Little did she know that things were about to take a different turn. Soon, we were on our way to a “restaurant” near Twin Lakes. As we passed Twin Lakes, Sean casually mentioned that everyone wanted to take photos by a stunning waterfall up the mountain, which required a short but steep walk to reach. After a bit of convincing and Desi’s concern about ruining her new sandals, she reluctantly agreed to the change in plans. What Desi didn’t know was that her sisters were already waiting by the waterfall, ready for the surprise. As we made our way down the trail, Desi spotted Melody with her camera in hand, not surprising, since Melody is a talented photographer who loves capturing stunning scenery. The day was beautiful, warm, and clear, with the twin lakes sparkling below us and a magnificent waterfall rushing down the rocks nearby. As we paused for photos, the group took a moment to admire the breathtaking view behind them, and that’s when Sean got down on one knee… and Desi, with a heart full of surprise, said YES! We can’t wait to celebrate with you. See you at the wedding!
