Our two stories start a little differently - on different coasts, and, yes, in different decades. Kelly, a west coast 90’s baby, somehow found her way to Nashville not too long after Patrick, an east coast product of the 80’s, landed there for work. It was just a matter of time until our stories came together. Once they did, we fell very quickly in love. Along the way, we’ve had thrilling chapters bungy jumping in New Zealand and hitting a pickleball in our living room over 500 times before it hit the ground. We’ve had dull chapters doing taxes and chores, and, just once, Patrick asking Kelly to attend a lecture on campus. We’ve had anxious chapters with the stress of work, wrestling with home repairs, and watching our flower garden languish. We’ve had funny chapters hosting silly events, making up songs about Ford’s name if he was a different nationality, and laughing crying with friends and family for all sorts of reasons. We’ve had chapters that help move the plot along sharing a credit card much sooner than any financial advisor would advise and boldly announcing our plans to move in together only a few months after we met (and months before we'd actually do so). We’ve also had starry-eyed chapters saying we loved each other for the first time, Kelly saying ‘yes’ when Patrick asked her the most important question of his life, and now, planning our wedding. Despite what these chapters may suggest, our story isn’t actually a long one because it didn’t take us very long at all to know where this was heading. And it’s not a complicated one because nothing about this has been complicated. Maybe ours is just a simple story. A story where a boy and a girl fell in love. A story where a dating app turned into a first date turned into a wedding date. Whether you’ve been in our stories apart or our story together, we do hope you can join us as we begin our next chapter.
