Alvina Tu'ulakitau

Matron of Honor

G’day mate and Greetings from the land down under! 🐨🦘 As the brides eldest sister, I play many roles in our family. Acting as a mentor, friend, and often, a second mom. The bride was very attached to my hip since birth as our parents worked a lot! I remember one night my sister Mafi and I went to spend the night at an aunt’s house. Our dad had to come in the middle of the night and pick me up because my parents couldn’t put her to sleep or stop her from crying 😂😂 The bride is someone who truly puts in the effort and goes above and beyond in everything she does! She takes on challenges with determination, constantly pushes herself to improve, and never backs down when things get tough. Whether it’s in her career, studies, or personal life, she finds a way to stay motivated and keep going! She has not only endured hardship but has RISEN ABOVE IT! To have faced profound loss of losing our mother to cancer at a young age and still move forward with resilience, love, and hope is something truly remarkable! This makes me very proud of the woman she has become, and I know she will make a great wife and a wonderful daughter to the Melvin Family. I can’t wait to celebrate her big day and to witness God’s faithfulness through their love story. There’s so much more to share but I’ll save that for my speech on the day LOL

Michael Melvin Jr.

Best Man

As Markus’ oldest brother, I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow into the man he is today. He has always shown remarkable diligence and resilience—from walking on to a Division 1 football program to earning his Doctorate degree. I’m most excited to see him continue evolving into the best version of himself, knowing that he has an incredibly bright future ahead. As his best man, I take great pride in standing by his side and being an example of what a strong, faith-centered marriage can look like as we continue to keep God first in our lives.

Mafi Tangi

Bridesmaid

Hey! I am the sister of the bride. I am greatly honored to be a part of my sister’s Big Day! It brings me so much joy to know that God has sent Mark to care and love my sister in ways that she deserves! I’m also very proud of how much Foou has grown and to see her take this step in her life to serve and love on Mark the way he deserves! I can’t wait to witness the love of God bring you both together in unity in front of all our friends and family! To God be all the glory! I love you both so much and I can’t wait for this special day🥹🤞🏽🤍

Matthew Melvin

Best Man

Hey, I’m Mark’s older brother (by almost 4 years even though I may not look like it 🤣) My favorite memory with Mark has to be our road trips as kids, trying to get 18-wheelers to honk their horn. (We had a theme song and all as we approached an 18-wheel) Something special about Mark is that he became a DOCTOR at 25❗️ I am most excited seeing my little bro marry the love of his life and their commitment to God and each other inspires me! I am just honored to serve as a best man alongside my brother Michael to support our little brother and future sister in love.

Tuli Tangi

Bridesmaid

Heyyyyy, I am the little sister to the bride. My fave memory of us is when we used to stay afterschool for the line dance program just to get the free ice cream😂 Something unique about the bride is that she loves drinking her tea. Any season, any day. She needs her hot tea & creamer. The couple inspires me to wait on the love that God has ordained for me. They’ve taught me to know that when that true love comes, it will show & will be super intentional, just as God did for these two. I look forward to seeing my sister as a bride (all dolled up and beautiful) and for both families to be there to witness this union and celebration of love! I am so honored to be apart of the wedding line and am even happier that my son will be apart of it too!

Kameron Perkins-Evans

Groomsman

Hey, I’m Kameron you may hear the Groom call me KP. Mark and I have been childhood friends since elementary school. Being friends with someone for so long it’s hard to pick just one memory. But one of my favorite memories would have to be packing 8-9 deep in Marks 5 seater car early high school to get places with our friends or bus rides for basketball or track because Mark can be a jokester. 😂😂 Mark inspires me to continue to chase my dreams and be successful because not many people can say they have a friend who’s a Doctor. I’m also most excited to meet the Bride in person for the first time and to just be in the same room as the Groom again and create new memories.

Mic'Kaela Melvin

Bridesmaid

Hi, I'm Mickaela, Mark’s little sister. I’m beyond excited for Mark and Fo’ou’s journey and to officially welcome a new sister into our family. Fo’ou is truly a gem—one of the most beautiful people inside and out that I’ve ever met. I first met her when Mark brought her home for Christmas in 2022. I knew right away she was the one for him—next to Jesus, the best gift he’s ever received. I can’t wait for the big day, especially to see Mark cry like a baby when his stunning bride walks down the aisle. Now, I wouldn’t be a proper sister if I didn’t share something embarrassing! Growing up, Mark loved playing with pencils—twiddling them like action figures. And yet, despite that, he earned his Doctorate by 25. He’s brilliant—one of the smartest people I know. Just don’t be surprised if he misses the obvious stuff now and then! One of my favorite memories is spending Saturdays at home with just the two of us—I'd cook breakfast, and we'd lounge watching TV all day. Out of all our moments, that simple quality time stands out the most. Mark & Fo’ou, I love you both so much. Congratulations! ❤️

Naia Tangi

Groomsman

What’s going on y’all. I’m Ou’s little cousin, but growing up as the only child, she was the older sister I never had & I thank God for her. My favorite memories with Ou include playing Super Mario Bros & NCAA at home & enjoying the nostalgic comfort food of Hometown Buffet. Fo’ou inspires me to keep striving within my own journey, because of the long beautiful journey that she has endured so far. I’m most excited to see what God has in store for both Mark & Fo’ou. I’m looking forward to supporting them both in this new season & sending them off into a prosperous life that they truly deserve! ❤️

Alisina Ilalio

Bridesmaid

Hey y’all! I flew in from the beautiful island of Thizz Nation — The BAY AREA — to celebrate this special day for my sister and Mark. Fo’ou is technically my aunt (my mom’s cousin), but since we’re the same age, she’s always been my sister*. If you know me and Ou, you know we come at the price of 1 — and our family knows that too, LOL. There are so many memories, but one that sticks out is when I left for my mission to the Philippines for 18 months. I’m the oldest of five, and saying goodbye was not easy. As I was walking away at the airport, I looked back — and there was Ou, holding my little brother and standing with my sisters. I felt OKAY. When I came home, nothing had changed - she is the only other person my siblings trust and look at just as they would to me. That moment sums up her LOYALTY. She shows up, she's present, and she loves hard. And I know that will take her future family far. She's also the best crump dancer, tells the best jokes that aren't funny, is so corny, and strives to be Christlike. Watching her and Mark grow has been so inspiring. Together, they’re balanced, fun, and strong. They’ve kept God at the center, and it shows. I’ve been so excited for this day — to dance with my sister, celebrate with both of our families, and meet our new family. Mark makes her even better — and she was already the best. I’m honored to serve and stand beside them on their special day. I'm behind you and Mark forever, Ou. God bless you both, forever & always.

Alex King

Groomsman

Hey! I’m Alex. Mark and I along with Ethan were randomly paired together freshman year of college and I think at first we were all unsure of how it would work out. It didn’t take long for us to all become super tight and we ended up living together for all 4 years of College and Mark and I lived together another 2 years after that. When you live with someone for 6 years during such a transitional period of life, you get to know them well, and you get to create a lot of memories along the way. One of my favorite memories with Mark would have to be all of the dorm room conversations, sports debates, and rap sessions that we would have. In addition to that, it has been great to see the growth he has made since we became friends and the Man he has become. I’d like to take some credit for that, but I am sure Fo’ou has a lot to do with it. I’ve enjoyed getting to know Fo’ou throughout the last few years as well. I couldn’t be happier for these two individuals and I am stoked to be a part of their special day.

Emani Jones

Bridesmaid

Hey, I’m Emani.. Fo’ou’s sista from anotha mista (but we friends lol) My favorite memory with Fo’ou has to be when me, her, and our friend Bri went downtown on St Patrick’s. IYKYK 😂 Something special about the bride is that she is the most caring and supportive friend I know. She never fails to make me laugh and makes the best otai ❤️ The couple inspires me to always laugh and be goofy. I’m most excited for the food 🤭 and am looking forward to being supportive throughout the process and watching my girl love her happily ever after 😭

Ethan Mitchell

Groomsman

Markus Melvin is one of the best friends I've ever had in my life. We met in August of 2017 as 18 year olds and haven't looked back since. Mark's unwavering tenacity and never give up attitude whether it be in football, friendship, or education are things I have always admired about him. If a path wasn't crystal clear, Mark would make a path himself and end up right where he was supposed to be. My favorite memories of Mark are sitting in the dorm room our last semester of college talking about what we wanted out of life. He did what he set out to do and is letting God guide his every step. I'm so excited to watch him get his happily ever after with the woman of his dreams. It's an honor to be part of this wedding party.

Briana Lanier

Bridesmaid

Hey! I’m Bri, and I’m Fo’ou’s Twin Cousin lol she was my first friend I made in Savannah. There’s so many fav memories with the bride lol but I guess my favorite memories with her would be our many trips to Atlanta and the sleepovers we had at my apartment with Emani. Something unique/special about the bride is that she is a huge extrovert and gets along with everyone she meets (even though she tries to denies it). The thing I am most excited about for the wedding day is seeing Fo’ou all dolled up in her dress and having fun with the newlyweds! The couple inspires me and have showed me that no obstacle, not even distance, is greater than love. As a bridesmaid, I am most looking forward to in being apart of the couples’ big day and celebrating their union.

Caleb Sansbury

Groomsman

Hey, I’m Caleb, friend of the groom. I’ve known Mark since birth - from going to church together, to playing sports together, we did so much. It’s too many memories that we have shared for me to pick my favorite but one that pops to my memory is the fun we had on AAU trips back in middle school & high school & winning multiple rec league championships lol. Mark inspires me to shoot for the stars and reminds me that there’s no limit on what you can achieve. I’m very excited to be able to celebrate such a special day for one of my closest friends. Congratulations to both the bride & groom, can’t wait to celebrate with you guys. 🍾

Mei Moana Tangi

Flower Girl

Hi, my name is MeiMoana Tangi and I am the bride’s oldest niece. My Dad is big brother to Fo’ou. One of my favorite memories with O’ is when we got to play charades with the whole family. Also when she wore a Rudolph pajama, painted her nose red and started acting like a reindeer😂. She is always soo nice to me and my siblings; she is super funny; and is always doing the “sigma face” with us 🤔. The bride inspires me the most with her amazing personality. I’m most excited to see all of my aunties, cousins and Papa on my Dad’s side at the wedding. I am looking forward to doing my part as a Flower girl and throwing pretty pedals down the aisle with my little sister at the wedding.

Sini Tangi

Ring Bearer

Hi, my name is Sini Tangi, and I am Fo’ou’s nephew. She is my dad’s younger sister. One of my favorite memories was also getting to meet Mark for the first time, and they took me and my siblings to see all the Koi Fish that were swimming around the hotel. Something unique about my aunty O’ is that she is the only one of my aunties that has red hair. She is soo nice to me, and it inspires me to be nicer to my siblings. One thing that I’m excited about for the wedding is that Mark is going to marry my aunty, so I’m going to have another uncle 😁. I’m excited to be a ring bearer with all of my brothers, but I want to do a good job; I just hope I don’t mess up my role.

Kilisitina Tangi

Flower Girl

Hello, my name is Kilisitina Tangi. I am Fo’ou’s youngest niece. My Dad is her big brother. My favorite memory of the bride & groom is when I first met Mark and they bought me and my siblings soccer balls and even played with us. Something unique about my aunty Fo’ou is that she is always happy. She inspires me to be kind because she is always kind to me. I’m really excited to be a flower girl in this wedding and I look forward to walking down the aisle in a pretty dress.

Laione Tangi

Ring Bearer

Hi, my name is Laione Kihe Loto Tangi. My Dad is the beautiful bride’s big brother; which makes her my aunty. My favorite memory of my aunty is when I was helping O blow up balloons and get the baby shower set up for my aunty Tuli. She is always nice to me. I didn’t want to be a ring bearer at first so I rejected her offer lol because I didn’t know what that was. But I am excited to be a ring bearer with all of my brothers.

Elijah Tangi

Ring Bearer

Hello, my name is Elijah Peter Tangi. My mommy is the little sister to the bride. My aunty and uncle are getting married and I get to carry the most valuable item in the wedding! It’s kind of a big deal🤭Best part about it is that I get to do it with my bestie and my brothers🩵🤞🏽 My favorite memory of my aunty is when she would carry me all the time and sing me to sleep with brass band musicals😂I am super excited to spend time with my family and eat so much food! Well, I’ve gotta blast. I gotta go learn how to walk now. Toodaloo 😊
