Our first date was at the beautiful Lake Tahoe. Lucky for me, Skylar agreed to go up to Chimney Beach because we had a friend in common (thank you, Brian). For me, it was love at first sight. When I picked her up, she came to the car with a mysterious box of goodies... what was it, you ask? She had packed us both a lunch. That simple gesture told me everything I needed to know about the kind of person she was. If you know my wife-to-be, then you know that kindness exudes from her every being. She lights up every room with her beautiful smile and warm energy. From that day on, it was an easy decision to give everything I had to the success of our relationship. Through COVID, graduating college, and moving to Phoenix, AZ (where we had no family or friends); through multiple countries (and counting), career changes, grand adventures, and every failure along with every victory — we’ve continued to grow stronger, better, and fall more in love. Now, we’re lucky to be alive in a time where we get to start the next chapter — the beginning of the rest of our lives — surrounded by the people we hold most near and dear. If our love were a home, each of you would have contributed at least one beautiful, perfect brick to its foundation. We cherish the memories we’ve built, and we look forward to this one — and many more to come.
