Our story began like many modern love stories.... with a swipe. Although we both grew up in Omaha, our paths didn’t cross until we had both moved to Kansas City. It was on Hinge that Jack came across Jaylee’s profile and couldn’t resist responding to her prompt: "One thing you should know about me is I'll cheer for your favorite sports teams." That was all it took. A shared love for sports — especially our beloved Huskers — kicked off a conversation that neither of us wanted to end. For our first date, we met for drinks at Red Door Grill. It was full of laughs, good conversation, and that awkward moment when Jack didn't walk Jaylee to her car (a decision he hasn't lived down since). But there was just something special about Jack that Jaylee just couldn't ignore, and Jack felt the same. At our second hangout, Jack met all of Jaylee’s friends, passed the vibe check with flying colors, and found himself in the middle of a spontaneous challenge. Jaylee bet him he couldn’t run home from the bar in under five minutes… not realizing Jack lived just around the corner. He won the bet, of course — and we all know Jaylee's a sore loser. From there, our relationship grew naturally, over shared plates of great food, cheering on our favorite teams, and spending quality time doing the simple things that make life sweet. We fell in love in the most honest, joyful way, and we can’t wait to keep building a life full of love, laughter, and maybe a few more friendly bets. We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of our favorite people. Thank you for being part of our journey! We can’t wait to say “I do” and start our forever together.
