Located just under a mile from downtown Nassau, Arawak Cay offers the authentic atmosphere of the Bahamian Fish Fry with vendors selling made to order conch salad, fried fish and other Bahamian dishes. Great spot for lunch!
Located right across the street from Arawak Cay, discover one of Nassau’s most iconic landmarks—Fort Charlotte, the largest historic fort on New Providence. Built in the late 1700s, it features a dry moat, underground tunnels, dungeons, and 42 cannons overlooking Nassau Harbour and Paradise Island. Small entry fee

Located in the heart of downtown, the Straw Market is a lively spot to shop for handmade goods, souvenirs, and local crafts. Vendors will actively invite you to browse their stalls—expect a lot of attention. Bartering is expected. It is recommended to bring cash (U.S. dollars are fine).
Step into Bahamian history with a visit to Queen’s Staircase, a 65-step limestone passage carved by hand in the 1700s. At the top, you’ll find Fort Fincastle, built to protect Nassau from pirates and invaders. Together, they offer a quick and meaningful glimpse into the island’s colonial past. One of the largest open-air marine habitats in the world, home to over 50,000 sea animals. During the day, access is included for Atlantis guests and those with AquaVenture passes. In the evening, parts of the aquarium can be explored for free by the public—a magical after-dinner experience!
