What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

August is typically hot and dry. The average temperature range is from 63 - 83 degrees.

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather pending, the ceremony will take place outdoors. The cocktail hour will take place both outdoors and indoors. The reception will take place indoors.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Guests will head straight to cocktail hour, which is at the same venue location as the ceremony and reception. The bride and groom will depart to take some just-married photos :) and then join everyone toward the end of cocktail hour.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly. RSVPs are due by June 30th.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 3:00 pm sharp. We recommend you arrive at least 15-30 minutes early so we can get the party started!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Free parking is available at The Sixpence venue, where all the events are taking place.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

When is the rsvp deadline? How do I rsvp?

Answer

The deadline to RSVP is June 30th. Please scan the QR code on your wedding invitation and follow the instructions online.

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

Yes, transportation will be provided to and from the venue. You may secure your transportation when you RSVP for the Ceremony & Reception. Please see our Transportation & Lodging page for more details.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #howtomarryaguyin10years so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is Garden Party Cocktail Attire: pastels, lighter colors, and florals are encouraged for women. Formal attire is encouraged for men. Please see our Attire page for dress code recommendations.

Will food and drinks be served at the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

Yes! Hors D'oeuvres, Dinner, Late Night Snacks, and LOTS of Drinks :) on us!
