You'll fly into the Honolulu Airport, located just 5 miles from downtown Honolulu and 36 miles from Kahuku (~56 minute drive). Finding transportation at the Honolulu International Airport is easy, and you have several options.

Option 1: There are six rental car agencies at the Airport, with four more located nearby. Option 2: The TURO app is a great and easy option for renting a car. If you need help figuring this out, please let us know. Option 3: Uber/Lyft/Taxi are available on island but extremely limited.

North Shore Shuttle Connections to and from HNL & North Shore (or Turtle Bay Resort)

While there are taxis/lyfts/ubers available at the airport, they are very limited in the North Shore area, so if you aren't renting a car we do suggest arranging a shuttle if needed. There are several sites that can accommodate bookings in advance (some need at least two weeks).

You also have the flexibility to stay in Downtown Waikiki, which offers a ton of hotels, along with entertainment/shopping close to the beach if that's the vibe you're looking for! It's about an hour-ish drive to Kahuku from there.
