FAQs

The Wedding Website of Haley Curry and David Lupoe
Here are some Frequently Asked Questions for you to explore at your convenience. If you have any additional questions prior to wedding day, you can text/call the bride and groom. On wedding day, please call/text Jennifer Rowe at (407)-340-4577.
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! It's Semi-Formal, meaning tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. No jeans/shorts/flipflops AKA typical Florida attire.

Question

What colors can I wear?

Answer

Let's list the colors that you shouldn't wear. That list is shorter. White, ivories, creams, or any fair color that will confuse guests with the bride. We also ask that you refrain from wearing green (as that is the color for the bridal party) and rose gold (as that is the color for the parents of the bride/groom). Otherwise, wear whatever colors you want!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are requesting that only children aged 12 and up attend the wedding. We apologize for any inconvenience this may bring to you.

Question

Can I bring a date/+1 if it wasn't on my invitation?

Answer

Short Answer: no. Long Answer: As aforementioned, we have limited space and therefore can only accommodate for our formally invited guests.

Question

Where is the ceremony located? Is the reception there too?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be at the Lake Mary Event Center. The address is: 260 N Country Club Road, Lake Mary, Florida 32746

Question

Is there parking on site?

Answer

Yes! There is a parking lot directly in front of the venue, and marked grass parking if the main lot is too full. There is also a driving loop that can be used as drop off for guests with limited walking mobility if needed.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5PM. If you know the bride, she is ALWAYS ON TIME, so you should be too :) Plan on arriving around 4:30PM to be sure you don't miss the main event!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both will be held indoors. There are outdoor areas for guests to enjoy during reception and cocktail hour if you choose.

Question

What do I do if I'm late for the ceremony?

Answer

If you arrive late, the coordinator will let you know when you can be seated. If the bridal party is in the process of coming into the ceremony, you will be asked to wait until the procession is over before finding an empty seat.

Question

How does seating work?

Answer

The ceremony will be open seating so sit wherever you please. Pick a seat, not a side :) The reception seating will be chosen by us and there will be a seating chart available.

Question

Can I Take Pictures?

Answer

Of course you can! We can't wait to see all the videos and pictures from our big day! However... we will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. That means when the bridal party starts walking down, phones are put away until otherwise announced. Why? Well, have you ever seen professional wedding photos taken with and without cell phone users in the background? Yeah... that's why.

Question

What food will there be?

Answer

Cocktail hour will have passed hors d'oeuvres. Dinner will be a buffet consisting of beef and chicken as main entrees. Dessert will be cake (duh) and an alternate special surprise! If you have a food allergy, please list that on your RSVP so we can provide an accommodated meal for you.

Question

The Wedding is on April 20th. Did you do that on purpose? *wink*

Answer

Short Answer: no. Long Answer: David and Haley decided after trying to find a venue that it didn't matter what day they celebrated their love, only that they found a place that accommodated all their loved ones so that they could celebrate with them. We also know, for you party people, what April 20th means to you and ask kindly that you keep all April 20th festivities materials (that are not wedding related) at home for the sake of the bridal party and their guests. If you have any issues with not participating in April 20th festivities, then we kindly ask that you RSVP no on your wedding invitation. This restriction is non-negotiable and any wedding guests found participating in April 20th festivities will be asked to leave the wedding immediately.
