Question

So what even is a progressive reception?!

Answer

Leanne, (Danielle's event planner sister) thought of this idea. After tossing it around (AKA-getting Matt to catch the vision), we felt it was the best way we could involve everyone we love, while getting to do something that was very on brand for us- and, hopefully making the time and space to get to spend with each of you at some point in the night! We plan to do an intimate dinner with family, then a reverse cocktail hour (Alchemist), and keep adding friends along the way at two more stops (Bad Alice and Bogarts)! We don't expect you to come to all stops (see below)- but hope we can see your beautiful face somewhere along the way. We chose locations that are owned by dear friends and hold a lot of memories for us. We hope you will come and enjoy those spaces and make new memories with us in them!

Question

Am I invited to all of the spots and/or do I have to come to all of the ones I am invited to?

Answer

Your invite indicates which location we'd love for you to meet us at, from that point we'd love for you to join us at as many or few of the following locations as you'd like!

Question

Is there parking at these reception locations?

Answer

We will have provided transportation from designated rendezvous points. Feel free to park at one of those and use our provided transportation throughout the night, as parking at these destinations can be limited. If that's not your jam, try your luck with local street/public parking! More info to come, so check back!

Question

So a Sunday wedding, huh?

Answer

Yes, we know. Not the most convenient for all. However, we have many, many friends in the service industry who wouldn't be able to join us if we did any other day. Along with that, this date is exactly 1 year from the date we got engaged- so we thought that was pretty sweet and fun too. We hope this won't stop you from being completely present, enjoying the night, and hanging with us for as long/late as possible. We only get to do this night once and know it goes by so fast. That being said, we want to try to make it last as long as possible and enjoy time with each of you. We hope you'd consider taking Monday off (or at least a half day, come on!) to recover (and possibly hang with us depending on how it all shakes out!) and for our friends who live nearby (but not uber-able), consider getting a hotel nearer-by so there's no obstacles to you being able to fully enjoy your time with us!

Question

Are you having a Ceremony?

Answer

No, we are holding a private vow exchange ahead of the celebrations on Sunday.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love you, we love your kids! But because of the setting/style of our progressive reception (mostly bars) kids are better hanging with a sitter, grandparent(s), friend(s), etc. Of course, we really hope this doesn't impact your ability to celebrate with us! We know a few really great babysitters so reach out to Danielle if you need a referral!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

None specifically. This is a tropical disco vibe! There is no wedding party (bridesmaids/groomsmen) so no worries about matching them! Theme colors are gem tones. Ladies- bring on the sparkles, florals, or patterns- if that's not your bag- go for a solid. Dresses, jumpsuits, flowy skirts! Gents- nice pants, button downs and ties (bow, bolo, neckerchief, whatever gets ya going)- if you really wanna go for it, throw on a jacket! Mostly, we want you to wear whatever makes you feel fun, funky, and fancy free!

Question

Will you kiss when we clink our glasses?

Answer

No. We will probably force a shot of Malort down your throat. You like Malort? Well then it'll be a shot of warm well gin. What we're trying to say is- if you do it, it will not yield the results you are hoping for. We have a lifetime of kisses to share; but tonight we want to talk with our loved ones, eat some food, and drink some beverages- and share a kiss, when we feel ready for it!

Question

Will there be a photo booth?

Answer

We aren't going to have a photo booth- but we will have a shared album via Kululu where you can upload your own photos and videos and view them live throughout the night! Please, use your uploads wisely as we 'only' have 500 for the night. We'd love selfies, pictures of each other, your table at dinner, cheersing with your favorite cocktails, etc. etc. Find the album here: app.kululu.com/4hfb9p There will also be QR codes out to scan on the 5th.
