We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you! One of the most unique things about San Diego is how much there is to do and see here, it's hard to pick just a few, (hence the long list provided)! We've also included lots of our favorite restaurants at the bottom of the page!
Sunset Cliffs

Whether you take a morning yoga class or come see the cliffs at sunset to let them live up to their name, you will not be disappointed by one of the most iconic cliffside ocean views in San Diego! Sunset Cliffs is also near Point Loma and Shelter island for some pretty harbor bay views and yummy seafood. Situated at the point of the peninsula, sits Cabrillo national monument for more stunning views and a hike down to tide pools!

A place very special for us! As this is where Kaeli has grown up spending most of her time at the beach, where Trevor works at Naval Air Station North Island, where many of our first dates and weekends with friends were spent, AND where we we got engaged! This charming, all-American, family oriented, military town is situated on an island that is home to one of the prettiest beaches in San Diego and best views of the bay/downtown skyline at the ferry landing. There are plenty of cute shops and restaurants, as well as the famous historic Hotel Del. Keep an eye out for the Romeo helicopters flying over, these are what Trevor fly!

A cute village situated on the water along San Diego Bay with shops and restaurants like Malibu Farms or Spill the beans coffee and bagel shop. With views of San Diego Bay, Coronado Island, naval ships and hangar bays on Trevor's base! Also a short walk to the famous "Kissing Sailor" statue and the Midway ship museum. There is also the option to take San Diego Bay boat tours, harbor dinner boat cruises or the ferry across the bay to Coronado and back!

If you are looking for some nightlife downtown, this is where to come! Line dance at Moonshine Flats, play arcade games at Coin Op, solve a murder mystery, or watch a dueling piano show at The Shout house in the historic Gaslamp quarter of San Diego!

Where Trevor and I had our first date! Explore the boardwalk that extends to Pacific beach where you can ride bikes, check out Belmont park or stop at some of the many restaurants and bars that are situated along the beach. Walk out onto the ocean on Crystal Pier in Pacific beach for a beautiful sea breeze, and watch the surfers as you feel the waves crash right beneath you!

The original birthplace of California! Eat some of the best Mexican food at Cafe Coyote, check out the famous haunted Whaley house, or shop the authentic Mexican shops!

Catch a San Diego Padres baseball game in downtown San Diego at one of the prettiest stadiums! Baseball was one of the first things Kaeli and Trevor bonded on as Trevor grew up playing baseball and Kaeli's dad has coached college ball while her brother CJ has also played his whole life! needless to say, baseball has always been a big part of our lives!

Visit the California Sea Lions, go snorkeling or check out the sea caves at La Jolla Cove, visit the Birch Aquarium and Scripps Institute of Oceanography, go surfing, check out tide pools or take a kayaking tour at La Jolla Shores beach! There is also shopping and restaurants with unbeatable cliffside views of the Pacific Ocean and even check out one of the best views of all of San Diego at the top of Mt. Soledad!

The famous San Diego Zoo! Right near Balboa Park, a jungle oasis sits right in the middle of San Diego home to tigers, lions, giraffes, elephants, reptiles, birds, monkeys, and any other animal you can think of. The tigers are our personal favorite...(hence Trevor's squadron is the Battlecats;)

A place Kaeli has spent lots of time at growing up, and a big part of what took a big part in shaping her career and passion for animals and marine life! Home to dolphins, sea turtles, orcas, sea lions, otters, beluga whales, walruses, penguins, sharks, and other birds and fish.

Arguably one of the best views in San Diego, hike or drive to the top of the cliffside hills that sit on Torrey Pines beach to see endless views of California's coast and the Pacific ocean. Torrey Pines runs along one of California's deepest underwater ocean trenches rich with marine life!

Located at the famous Del Mar racetrack and open from June 1st- July 4th, the San Diego County Fair is one of the most iconic and well known things to kick off our summers. With so many crazy foods and rides, its a guaranteed blast. They also have concerts you can get separate tickets for on certain dates.

Dana Point is a charming little beach town, the first place Kaeli's family lived in California. The next town up and a short drive past the wedding venue, if you want to see beautiful orange county and get in touch with the ocean and marine life, this is the best way to do it! Known for their marine life, take a 2 hour boat trip off the coast of Dana Point and San Clemente and become one with the ocean, dolphins and whales in the most unique way for an experience you will never forget. Don't forget to check out the rest of the area, walk the Dana point harbor, or make the short drive up to Laguna beach just past Dana Point.

Special for Trevor and Kaeli as they spent a lot of time at the Waikiki location relaxing on the beach and drinking Mai Tais before Trevors deployment. This location provides one of the prettiest views in San Diego of the La Jolla cliffs, Pacific ocean and California coast line.
