Well, first off, it's where we met and fell in love! With Eliot having grown up here and Kate having now called it her home for the past eight (!) years, it only felt natural to hold our celebration in a city we cherish so deeply. New Orleans is a city that sucks you in - a merging of cultures that requires moments of intricate balance, where you can spend years trying to learn its rhythm but each day will encounter something new. It is a city that warrants patience, where time is thin yet the pace leans slow. There are seasons full of beauty and joy and ones that are softer or with more struggle, each with their own lessons to be received by those lucky enough to experience it. The ways in which one could describe New Orleans are ways in which we too could describe our love. And (perhaps most importantly) by having the wedding here it also means Earl can come too <3. We can't wait to share all that our city has to offer with you.
