Like any modern love story, ours began with a swipe. We matched on Bumble and quickly realized we had more in common than just good conversation, we shared the same area code 218’ers! That gave us plenty to talk about, and before we knew it, we had set up our first date. The rest is history… and a lot of debating over which is better Leech Lake or Lake Superior.

After a great dinner at our favorite spot, Birch’s on the Lake, we did what we always do, ordered the s’mores kit for two. With marshmallows and chocolate in hand, we made our way to the fire pit, ready to roast and enjoy the perfect treat. But as we looked out over Long Lake, Frank had something even sweeter planned. Instead of just making s’mores, he popped the question! (Spoiler: I said yes.) Turns out, the best part of the night wasn’t the dessert, it was the beginning of forever.
