Megan and James first met during her visitation weekend to Florida State University, where she planned to pursue her Ph.D. in chemistry. That day lived on in their memories, and when Megan chose FSU as her home for the next 5 years, she promptly joined the Frederich lab, where James was a Ph.D. candidate. They immediately began working together, and Megan was able to rapidly solve a synthetic problem that James struggled with for years. Impressed by her enthusiastic approach to life, accompanied by her unmatched beauty, he began to rapidly fall for her. Their mentor-mentee relationship blossomed through extreme working hours and complex discussions about chemistry. Working together in a high-stress environment helped them to establish boundless communication methods, overcome challenges together, and become a force to reckon with. Out of the lab, it turned out they had similar hobbies and life interests and they quickly became best friends and partners in crime, all the while falling deeply in love. Their life of fun and adventure really began when they took a road trip to New Orleans on a graduate student salary. They fell in love not only with each other, but also with adventuring together. Satisfied with long drives and weekend getaways, they were able to explore much of Florida and the Gulf Coast. Their most romantic moments took place in the beautiful state of Georgia. In coastal Georgia, James first revealed to Megan that he was in love with her (thankfully, it was a mutual feeling). A few years later, in North Georgia, James proposed to Megan after she dove into a freezing cold waterfall near Helen. They are excited to start their lives together.
