We’ve been referring to our engagement party as a “one stop shop”- it’s an engagement party and happily ever after (before) party all rolled into one. When we started wedding planning, it became even more apparent how spread out our loved ones are; so while it is officially an “engagement party,” we also lovingly refer to it as “an excuse to see everyone we love.” Playing off of that, we knew we didn’t want to crunch seeing everyone in one four hour block... so we made a weekend out of it! We’ve set up a weekend full of events that mirror activities we do when we visit Kansas. Come to one, come to all- we just ask that you RSVP so we have a headcount. The details for each event are located on the "Schedule" tab but here’s some background on why each venue is important to us: Jack Stack BBQ at Boulevard Brewery: Often times, our literal first stop after we pick up our rental car at the Kansas City airport is Jack Stack. It’s our favorite Kansas City BBQ! Sean is the beer drinker of the pair and loves trying local beers wherever we travel; Boulevard is the perfect place to showcase local KC beer. Funky Town: We both love to dance- while cooking, brushing our teeth, and at the Target self-checkout (Sean). We have an annual tradition of visiting Funky Town, a 60s/70s bar and dance club. You could call it many things, but we like to call it “an experience.” Royals game: We both share a deep love of sports, especially baseball. Sean completed his goal of visiting all 30 MLB stadiums before turning 30 in 2017. We've both attended numerous Royals games but this will be our first together!

We share a strong love for traveling and the outdoors. Later this year we will be eloping with our immediate families in Colorado!
