We first met in middle school, over fifteen years ago, in the arcade at Playland Ice Rink while our older brothers were playing in a hockey game. We became friends instantly, and as the years went by, we always found ways to spend more time together. We would often "joke" about getting married -- a decade before we started dating. From driving to our self-proclaimed “spot”, to going to concerts, visiting each other in college, and braving cold nights during covid, we took any chance we got to spend our time together. Somehow, it took years of memories like these before we finally took that leap of faith. After many "almost" moments, we decided to just escape the world, drove upstate to little Athens, New York, and never looked back. Brian finally got out of the friend zone (it took him long enough!) We’ve had the best days we could’ve hoped for ever since. So we found a way to keep spending all our time together—and we couldn’t be happier to share our friendship-turned-relationship-turned-(almost) marriage with you, in one of our favorite places.
