Things To Do

We are so excited to have you visit our second home, Winter Park. Here are a few of our favorite things to do and places to eat around town!

Headwaters River Journey

730 Baker Dr., Winter Park, CO 80482
, (970) 300-3337

We are so honored that you chose to celebrate with us this weekend. As a thank you, please enjoy a visit to the Headwaters River Journey on us - an interactive water and wildlife experience at our wedding venue. It is a great activity for adults and kids alike! Open Thursday - Monday 9am - 5pm (but will not be available during the wedding). Please mention the Reiter-Kershaw wedding for free admission.

Places to eat

Breakfast: Rollin' Street Bakery (the breakfast "chimney" sandwich is our favorite), Carvers, Wake N' Bacon, Sharky's. Lunch: Rollin' Street Bakery (the Italian Chimney Sandwich is a must!), Rudi's Deli, The Ditch, Vertical Bistro and Tap, Goodys Mountain Creperi. Dinner: Heck's Tavern at Devil's Thumb Ranch, Randi's Grill and Pub, Fontenot's Seafood and Grill, Deno's Mountain Bistro, Fraser Valley Distilling, Volario's, The Peak, Virtical Bistro and Tap, Elevation Pizza (best pizza in town for delivery or take out), Hernando's Pizza Pub (best dine-in pizza). Drinks: Fraser Valley Distilling, Fraser River Beer Company, Camber Brewing, Hideaway Park Brewery, Idlewild Spirits Brewpub.

Hiking

There are many wonderful hiking trails in and around Winter Park. Some of our personal favorites include Monarch Lake Loop Trail, Fraser Experimental Forest Loop, Snow Mountain Ranch Waterfall Trail, and anything in Rocky Mountain National Park! We recommend you use the website (or phone app) All Trails linked here to find the right length and difficulty level for you and your group! Remember to bring sunscreen and lots of water!

Winter Park Resort

85 Parsenn Rd, Winter Park, CO 80482

Ride the gondola to the top of the mountain, hike around the ski slopes or enjoy lunch with great views, ride the alpine slide, play putt putt golf, shop around the village, and if you're brave enough go downhill biking at Trestle Bike Park (but please don't break anything so you can still enjoy the dance floor!).

Rocky Mountain National Park Grand Lake Entrance

16018 US-34, Grand Lake, CO 80447

See some of the best views in Rocky Mountain National Park by entering through the Grand Lake entrance, about 40 minutes from Winter Park. Hike any of the many trails or drive up Trail Ridge Road for the best views of Colorado's Front Range (keep your eyes peeled for bighorn sheep and moose). Be sure to stop in the charming town of Grand Lake on your way in or out of the Park!

Snow Mountain Ranch (YMCA of the Rockies)

1101 County Road 53, Granby, CO 80446
, (970) 887-2152

Snow Mountain Ranch has a variety of family friendly activities including hiking, fishing, horseback riding, disc golf, archery, etc! Visit their website to find out more. Our favorite hike is the Snow Mountain Ranch Waterfall Trail.

The Foundry Cinema & Bowl

22 Second Street, Fraser, CO 80442
, (970) 363-7161

Bowling, movies, drinks, and games!

For all the days along the way
