Lets get hitched!

We met met through a mutual friend who knew we were signed up for the same trail race, Cirque Series Snowbird in 2019. At the time, even though Matthew hated early mornings, he still showed up at the trail head for 5:30 am runs. Ever since then we have been trail running up peaks and hiking through desert slot canyons together. Matthew and I moved in together in February 2020 and just got settled before COVID hit. Luckily we loved each other’s company as we got ALOT of it quarantining together.

Last winter we started planning what our adventures would be for 2021 and at the top of our list was hiking Mt. Whitney. We applied for the max number of permits for the Whitney lottery and were both pleasantly surprised when we received a day hike permit for 8/26/2021, Sarah's birthday. After a 3:00 am wake up, 11 miles, and over 6000 vert we made it to the top. Matthew got down on one knee and Sarah said yes! We think we annoyed many hikers struggling up to the peak as we were skipping down the mountain and finishing the 22 mile hike in post proposal bliss.
