We'll have a meet up event the night before on Thursday (10/05) for those who are in town. We hope everyone can join us the day after the wedding, Saturday morning (10/07), for a light breakfast and, if you're up for it, a game of kickball. We're planning to be at Wallace park, about a mile from the venue.
This is a strict RSVP. When the invites come out we will have an online RSVP. Please RSVP by 08/01/2023 so we can give final numbers to our vendors.
Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
In an ideal world we would have invited you and all the kids. However, check your invitation to see who is invited.

Portland International Airport (PDX) is the closest airport. It is about 15 miles from the Slabtown neighborhood, where all the weekend's events are being held.
If you choose to stay at the Inn at Northrup station, the rooms have a small kitchenette. There is a Safeway grocery store about a half a mile away. Other options in the area include Silver Cloud and Canopy by Hilton. Both are about a mile from Castaway. See the accommodation tab for more information.
Portland has great public transportation. Here is the website for planning trips: https://trimet.org/home. You can pay for all forms on an app on your phone called a Hop Card. I would recommend downloading that and adding a payment method if you plan to go by light rail, bus, or streetcar. If you stay at the recommended hotel you will get a free streetcar pass daily
For the venue, there is meter free parking in the surrounding area.
Inn at Northrup Station is about a 10 minute walk. NW is a generally safe neighborhood. We would recommend when walking from the hotel to the wedding and back, walk along 18th street for the easiest route. Otherwise calling a cab or Lyft would be the best option. We will not be providing shuttles to or from Castaway.
Likely there will be periods of sun and light rain through the day. Temperatures usually range from 50 to 80 degrees at this time of year, so check closer to the day of to get a better estimate. The venue has a covered outdoor area that will be available as well.
The food will be served family style. There will be dishes included that fit each of the above needs. With the invitation will we ask about allergies so we can be sure everyone is safe.
