Difficult Travel

We fully understand that this wedding plan requires many hours of travel and commitment and we do not expect for everyone to be able to make it. We would love to see you but understand what we are asking. Please note that the towns of Portal and Rodeo only have two restaurants and small markets. We recommend buying groceries or at least snacks in Tucson or Las Cruces before traveling to Portal. The nearest gas station is 28 min/23 miles away in Animas, NM.

There are many AirBnbs available in the area. Try searching in Portal, AZ; Paradise, AZ, San Simon, AZ, or Rodeo, NM area.

Flight

Tucson International Airport

We recommend flying into the Tucson airport. The drive is a 2.5 hours from the airport and it takes you through desert valleys, mountains, and boulder fields.

Las Cruces International Airport (LRU)

There are flights to Las Cruces, NM as well. The drive is 2.5 hours through high desert plains and rugged mountain expanses.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)

There are direct flights into Phoenix from MCI. The drive from PHX to Portal is 4 hours through Tucson. There is an alternative route that is 4.5 hours and goes through the Superstition Wilderness and Pinaleño Mountains.
