Rocky Mountain National Park
Rocky Mountain National Park is a true treasure and where Matt climbed his first 14,000ft mountain (Longs Peak). Matt and Brianna did the grueling ascent together and the even more grueling descent. Longs Peak is a stand alone 14'er on the front range so it generates its own weather and holds the front range captive. Feel free to enter the park and see some elk and stunning views!
The Stanley Hotel
The Stanley Hotel is an iconic Colorado hotel that is famous because of its local lore and connection to Stephen King. Matt and Brianna stayed here after climbing Longs Peak in the historic hotel because Matt is a massive fan of King. The hotel is one of Stephen King's favorite hotels and the story of the hotel inspired his writing of The Shining. Of note, the Jack Nicholson film was not filmed in the hotel. You can schedule different types of tours with the Stanley to get the full experience.
Estes Park Aerial Tramway
The Estes Tram Car is a Gondola ride up a mountain that will give you stunning views of the Estes area, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Longs Peak. A very chill way to see some beautiful views!
