FAQs

Question

What can I get the couple as a wedding gift?

Answer

We love your support and desire to contribute to our new family! Since we are living in Germany we ask that you not bring physical gifts. We would appreciate financial contributions for our Honeymoon adventure in New Zealand so we can spend quality time together as we finally exit our long distance relationship and enter our new life together.

Question

I am from out of town, what should I pack for a weekend in Colorado?

Answer

There are some odd things that may not come to mind immediately for those who have never been to Colorado. Colorado is VERY sunny, so sunglasses are a must have because the snow can cause snow blindness. The climate is very dry, so chapstick and lotions are recommended along with sunscreen (yes even in winter). The snow is dry, so normal shoes are fine but if you want to spend more time exploring bring some sturdy shoes and warm socks. If you want to bring your own water bottle you can drink from the tap. Water is a must have in Colorado to help prevent altitude sickness.

Question

What is the weather in Colorado like?

Answer

January is a cold but sunny month. Temperature's range between 15 to 35 degrees, but the sun makes it feel much warmer. There will be snow on the ground and it may snow during the wedding (we hope!)

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

It is January in Colorado, so bring warm clothes for day to day. The wedding is floor length dress and semi formal wear for men. We encourage the wear of fur shawls and jackets. Think cozy mountain vibes in a cabin with blues, greens, and golds. The wedding will be indoors, so you don't need a jacket for the reception or the ceremony but there are outside areas you can roam about in. We will have a coat check available for guests to drop their jackets at.
