IF YOU PLAN TO VISIT THE FIRST STARBUCKS - GO AT 6AM!!!! any later than 6:30am and the line is nearing an hour, people arrive before the open forming the line that lasts until they close The first Sur la Table is right by Pikes Place Market See the famous Pike Place Fish Co. - 'We're the guys that throw the fish' The Gorgeous flowers - they have every variety of dahlia EVER and that is pretty much every flower lol BEST THING ABOUT ALL THE MARKET IS EVERY SHOP WILL SHIP THEIR PRODUCT OVERNIGHT TO PRETTY MUCH ANYWHERE, this includes produce, meat, and seafood!
The obvious mega tourist destination everyone should check out! On that note, just lean into it hard - take the MONORAIL from downtown to the Space Needle and Chihuly Glass Garden & Museum HOWEVER, this is also where Josh proposed to Chris! - Specifically lower level in the Loup Lounge at sunset!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR!!! We forgot her name because it has been a few years; however, if possible ask for the female tour guide (she used to be a Chef in New England) because she was the absolute best - Told great, funny stories and was very knowledgeable about the history of not just the food and the Market but also about Seattle; we wished it was longer than 2 hours!
Another absolutely lovely spot to go, and while Josh normally finds museums to be energy leeching, soul draining experiences after about 20 minutes; Chihuly is part garden part museum. Meaning, while Chris spends hours there because he needs to read every plaque about every piece in the museum Josh chills in the garden.
The 4 Seasons Hotel has a special place in the couple's hearts after coming to Seattle so much, if fact if the average cost of the rooms wasn't $450/night this is where the couple would have stayed because it is home to: Goldfinch Tavern - After years of visiting Seattle for special occasions, on each enjoying a brunch here. The Goldfinch Tavern in the 4 Seasons hotel has become a very important location to Josh & Chris, now a tradition to celebrate pivotal life moments here over mimosas! Fran's Chocolate - Chris' favorite bougie chocolate spot, it is also the chocolate Goldfinch uses on their celebration desserts which are hands down the best desserts Josh & Chris have ever had. So in addition to stopping in for brunch at Goldfinch every time they are in town Josh & Chris will stop for a box of chocolates from Fran's afterward.
Chinatown is a must stop spot when Josh & Chris are in town. When they were here to view and book Lairmont Manor, they ate in Chinatown 3 of their 5 nights in town. Highly recommend trying many different places such as dinner at one spot then picking up something sweet and tasty or a boba tea on your walk back to the hotel. Purple Dot Café is Josh's Favorite Dim Sum!!! - Across the Street is Honey Court Seafood Café, and a boba tea place on the corner (there is a parking lot next to Honey Court Seafood)
Amazing seafood restaurant on the pier so I recommend eating outside on their covering heated patio where you have a beautiful view of the water, able to watch ferries come and go while enjoying a divine meal. When Josh & Chris went here for a Josh's 30th birthday, and the food was so good that Josh inhaled almost his entire meal before Chris returned from using the restroom after the just arrived.
First, SUNDAY DRAG BRUNCH and it is fabulous!!! This delicious Mexican spot is located in the Harbor Steps complex, another cute area (the Harbor Steps Apartments are where Josh & Chris plan to live when the first move to Seattle while home hunting)
The Boystown of Seattle Similar to Pioneer Square, a lovely area to visit. Capitol Cider is there, if you like adult apple juice like the Josh & Chris; if not there are many other breweries in the city
Another spot to hit to feel cultured by saying you went to a museum but it isn't as boring as your typical museum. It is right by the Space Needle and Chihuly, in fact I believe they sell discounted bundle passes to all 3 locations!!! Another interesting museum Josh & Chris saw on their last trip out was the NFT museum, yes that is right an NFT museum
You will need a car or to take an Uber here, it is in the middle of a residential area, in fact the homes across the street are so gorgeous and the whole area is beautiful its a great to drive around smoking a joint just enjoying the architecture. The park itself is worth its location because it has one of the nicest views of the city and Pugent Sound (that is the name of their lake)
The Amazon Spheres, its a beautiful indoor garden. Buy your tickets in advance
