Is there a dress code at the resort?

All restaurants have dress codes in order to dine. The two dress codes are listed below. Casual Dress: Shorts, bermudas, sarongs and t-shirts are welcome. Sleeveless t-shirts (for men), tank tops, wet clothes, and swimsuits are not allowed. Footwear must be worn at all times. Casual Elegance: Casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn. T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, beach sandals, and flip flops are not allowed. When do I need a passport by/to renew it by?

All travelers must have a valid passport. If anyone has any questions on applying, please refer to the website below. First Discount Travel recommends that all passports have a validity date of 6 months after you return to the United States. (expiration date of July 2022 or later) Passport requirements can change at any time and without notice. Passport renewals can take up to 2-3 months for processing. The Excellence resort has formed a Health and Safety Committee, led by the esteemed Dr. Sebastian Crespi, who is the President & Scientific Director of Biolinea and a consultant for the World Health Organization on Covid-19 management in the hotel industry worldwide, and joined by a selection of their departamental leaders from within the company. The committee has collaborated to form a new list of additional protocols to complement the Infinite Excellence already found at their properties. Their new protocols are based on knowledge and recommendations from sources such as the WHO, the CDC and the EPA in the United States, local authorities in the brand’s hotel destinations, tour operators, and The Excellence Collection’s very own above-the-curve standards. What is included in my travel insurance?

Answer

Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) Travel Protection (TP) Plan is available for $99 per person. Either all people sharing a room must purchase the CFAR TP Plan or decline the CFAR TP Plan. If you would like for your airfare to be covered in the CFAR TP Plan, your airfare must be booked through the tour company. Any airfare purchased through a third party source (airline website, Expedia, or any other source) can’t be covered in the Travel Protection Plan. This CFAR TP Plan must be purchased at the time of room deposit. The CFAR TP Plan allows you to cancel for any reason with a full refund (less the cost of the TP Plan) up to two hours prior to departure. First Discount Travel highly recommends that every guest protects their investment and purchases the TP Plan. Certain discount carriers (Southwest or Frontier) can be covered by the TP Plan for an additional $10 per person, but not all airlines are eligible for this coverage. The CFAR TP Plan is non-refundable once purchased.

Can I book/purchase my airfare independently from my travel package with FirstDiscountTravel?

Answer

Of course! If you prefer to purchase airfare independent of your travel package, you are welcome to do so, but some Travel Protection Plans require that the tour company issues the tickets in order for them to be included in the Travel Protection Plan. The cost will not be more than $30 per ticket and in most instances, will not apply at all. We believe in full disclosure, so we are passing this information along in advance, just in case the airline you choose has a fee associated with it.

What airport do I need to fly into?

Answer

The airport that you will want to fly into will be Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ). It is about a 30-40 minute drive on the coast of Jamaica.

How do I get from the airport to the resort?

Answer

When booking through our travel site, you will receive free round-trip shared hotel shuttle service. You can enhance your shuttle service to private/nonstop airport transfers through our travel site with Deanna.

What happens if I need to cancel my trip?

Answer

If you cancel your room prior to August 1, 2021, no penalty will apply. If you cancel your room between August 1, 2021, and September 30, 2021, a penalty of $300 per room will apply (unless Cancel for Any Reason Travel Protection Plan has been purchased – see below). After October 1, 2021, cancellation will result in full penalty, and accommodations are 100% nonrefundable. (unless Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) Travel Protection Plan has been purchased – see below for details). If you have purchased an airline ticket, tickets are nonrefundable as soon as they are purchased. (unless Cancel for Any Reason Travel Protection Plan has been purchased – see below for details).

Will my room be held past the deposit date?

Answer

Rooms are holding until August 1,2021. Please confirm your reservation prior to this date in order to guarantee room availability. After this date, we will do our best to accommodate you in your preferred room category. Certain room categories are limited, so please secure early if you have a strong preference on the view from your room or its location.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would prefer that only the individuals come that are listed on the RSVP cards mailed to you. We are limited in the number of individuals that will be able to attend our wedding.

Do I have to stay at the resort in order to attend the wedding?

Answer

We highly recommend staying at The Excellence Resort due to the fact that we have a group discount rate for rooms at the resort and all of the wedding events will be located there. However, if you do not plan to stay at The Excellence Resort, there is a $100 wedding pass entry fee to the resort on the wedding day.
