We’re Getting Married!!

We met in the most modern of ways—on Bumble, just before the world changed forever. It’s funny how timing works, right? What started as a casual swipe turned into something much more meaningful. We decided to meet at St. Louis, a cozy spot for a casual dinner. As it turned out, it wasn’t just any night—it was the grand opening of that location! The restaurant was buzzing with excitement, and to top it all off, his entire hockey team happened to be there celebrating. So, instead of a quiet, intimate meal for two, we were surrounded by teammates watching us on our first date. But in a way, it was perfect—because amidst all the noise and the nerves, we were able to truly see each other. Then, just as we were starting to get to know each other, COVID-19 lockdowns hit, and everything changed. The world came to a halt, and suddenly restaurant's, movie theatres and other typical first date spots were closed. Where others might have seen obstacles, we saw opportunities. Our “dates” took on new, creative forms. We took long walks through the neighborhood, had cozy date nights at home binging tv shows and cooking meals together. We found comfort in each other’s company, and the simple, everyday moments turned into the most meaningful ones. We later got our first house together and brought home our fur baby, Lola, who quickly became an inseparable part of our little family. Together, we renovated our house, making it a true home filled with love, laughter, and memories. The projects, the sweat, the teamwork—it was all part of the beautiful life we were building. We realized that through every challenge, we became even more connected, and the life we were creating together was exactly what we’d dreamed of. We grew stronger together, built each other up, and shared our dreams—both big and small. From hiking trails to home renovations, from cozy nights with Lola to planning our future, we knew we were on the path toward forever.
