FAQs

Got questions? We’ve got answers! Check out the list below for the most common ones — and if we missed something, send us a note at thehodgsons2026@gmail.com. We’re happy to help!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please submit your intention of attendance no later than March 1, 2026 to assist the venue in final headcount and catering arrangements.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to dress in elegant, semi-formal attire, with a more formal silhouette in mind. For women, we recommend longer dresses or nice dress pants. For men, dress pants paired with a sport coat or blazer are encouraged; ties are welcome but optional. Please choose timeless, polished pieces that are comfortable and weather-appropriate, as Utah’s March weather can be cool and unpredictable. Layering and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Kindly reserve denim and white attire for another occasion.

Question

Will weather be a factor to consider?

Answer

As Utah weather in March can vary, we kindly suggest checking the forecast before you travel and before the wedding. Our dream is to exchange vows outdoors, overlooking the mountains, weather permitting. Hand warmers will be available, and guests are welcome to wait indoors before the ceremony begins. The reception will be held indoors—please dress comfortably for the season.

Question

Is there ample parking at the venue?

Answer

Parking is plentiful and conveniently located near the venue entrance.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception occur at the same location?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will occur at the same location. The ceremony will take place under the open sky in the courtyard, and afterward, we’ll move indoors to continue the celebration at the reception!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. We kindly ask that all guests be seated by 3:45 PM, as the aisle to the seating area will close at 3:55 PM to allow the wedding party to prepare for their entrance. There is ample parking available at the venue, but we encourage arriving early to secure a convenient spot and settle in before the ceremony begins.

Question

Will I be able to take videos or photos during the ceremony?

Answer

The couple has hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture all the moments we’ll treasure forever. We kindly ask that guests keep phones and cameras off during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present — it’s an unplugged celebration! And yes, rumor has it that anyone caught filming may be turned into a cheeky monkey in post-production 🐒. (we will tag you on Facebook) Once the ceremony ends, though, feel free to take all the photos and videos you’d like during the reception!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

To ensure an intimate celebration and accommodate our venue’s capacity, we kindly request that attendance be limited to the guests specified on the invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome during the ceremony?

Answer

We absolutely love your little ones! That said, to help keep our ceremony peaceful, we ask that children remain seated and supervised. If anyone gets a little restless (or lets out a big cry!), we kindly ask parents to step out briefly until things calm down. We will have quiet activites availble for children during the ceremony, but encourage bringing quiet items that might help entertain your little one during the ceremony.

Question

Alcohol and Drug Policy

Answer

We kindly ask guests to note that, due to venue regulations, alcohol and smoking are not permitted anywhere on the property. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep the celebration joyful and comfortable for everyone!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

The couple is registered at Amazon, Target, and Crate & Barrel, all linked here for your convenience. For those who wish to gift experiences or help us settle into newlywed life, we’d be over the moon for contributions to our honeymoon or furniture fund. Thank you for celebrating with us in any way that feels right to you!
