Places to go if you'd like to walk around downtown Auburn and explore the University campus.
Walk around campus and see Auburn University's staple building, Samford Hall. In front of Samford Hall is Samford Park, this outdoor space is a favorite spot in the Auburn Community. On game days after wins — mostly in college football but in other sports as well — fans and students flock here and to the nearby intersection of College Street and Magnolia Avenue to throw toilet paper over the famed Auburn Oaks trees at Toomer's Corner.
After visiting Samford Hall, walk over here to see the new Aubie the Tiger statue, Auburn's beloved mascot. Aubie is one of the most loved Auburn traditions, his fun and energizing spirit brings joy to everyone and has won him 11 national championships in the collegiate mascot competition. If the doors are unlocked, you can walk around the Student Center and afterwards walk to Jordan-Hare Stadium. In front of the stadium are the statues of Heisman Trophy winners Pat Sullivan, Bo Jackson, and Cam Newton.
