We're getting married!

In October 2020 we both were living in Jacksonville, FL (separately) for work. One evening we matched on a dating app, Hinge, and started chatting. Anna: We had plans for our first date on a Wednesday evening after our prospective job days ended. The big day comes and while at work I am anxious and excited to later meet Benjamin, a guy who I've never met but has been fun messaging with. Before the work day ends I get a message from Benjamin saying that he had a big test the next day to study for and would have to reschedule our date. "Yeah right, I have a big test tomorrow too" I thought to myself while agreeing to reschedule, all while fairly sure the rescheduling was never going to happen. The next day Benjamin messages me that his test went well and asks to reschedule the date to Friday and after a little convincing I agree. Friday comes and I ask him where he lives so that I could meet him at his place. He tells me that he lives near Top Golf. I am shocked because I also live near Top Golf. I ask him if he lives at The Oasis and he says yes! Unbeknownst to either of us we were living one apartment building away from each other, I at apartment 1207 and Benjamin at apartment 2107. Friday evening I nervously walk over to his apartment and a handsome man opens the door. For our first date we drove to a nearby German restaurant and we immediately hit it off! The date went by far too quickly and once we were back at our apartment complex Benjamin asked if I’d like to go to Dave & Busters with him and of course I said yes! We go to Dave & Busters and little did I know that Benjamin loves going there and is really good at all of the games. After this date we are inseparable and it leads to many more dates at Dave & Busters, Soupa Noodles, the beach, movie nights, and more. Benjamin: Once upon a time, one day after coming home from work I saw this beautiful girl named Anna on Hinge. It was only by chance I looked at the app because work was really busy with flights, simulators, and classes. What I couldn't believe was that she had messaged me first, in German, and I was 5 days late to respond. I thought my chances were over, but after I responded she messaged me back and I was super happy and excited. After chatting and discovering we both knew German and lived at the same apartment complex we came up with a fun date idea of going to a German restaurant. Unfortunately the day before our date, my work scheduled me for an exam the very next day that I then had to spend hours studying for. (She never offered to help study with me :( but now she helps me study and review quite a bit, -when you see her ask about windshear, taking off, and landing the plane.) After my test, I immediately rescheduled for the next day where she tried to reschedule for a different day but I was like no that's the only day I’m free and we should really meet then. So that evening arrived and I got worried and thought she bailed because she showed up 30 minutes late. When she finally arrived I was super nervous and was like who is this girl, she was so much prettier than her pictures and was super cute and funny. The dinner date went amazing and upon getting back to our apartment complex I was thinking of everything possible to not let the date end and asked if she wanted to go to Dave & Busters. She said yes so I was super happy and we went! Definitely did not take it easy on her and beat her in most of the games, a trend I try to continue to this very day. This was just the start of our baby relationship, next was our second date, her meeting my friends, trying tennis for the first time, watching me lose a pumpkin contest, leaving me for Mexico for a week, and much much more! And just like that we were moving in together, moving across the country together, and became engaged! Thank you to everyone for coming to our site and playing a part in our love story.
