The two met during their freshman year of college before the pandemic sent us home. Remaining friends, they kept in contact throughout the summer and when they returned to the University of Arkansas for their sophomore year. Jillian invited Kyle to her birthday party and they hung out throughout the night. They had such a great time together she left her birthday party to go to another party with Kyle!

Kyle and Jillian went on a birthday trip to Portland, Maine to celebrate themselves as they are only three days apart. To Jillian’s surprise, Kyle had planned for it to be an engagement trip for months! When visiting the Portland Headlight, the two walked down to the rocks nearing the water where a picnic was set up. Kyle proposed to Jillian, including a tribute to one of their early dates - a picnic with Dr. Pepper! They recreated the picture taken on that date during their engagement photoshoot and ended the night at a restaurant on the water.
