The Yunk, 2012. 3 upstanding gentleman from Palmyra and 1 mystery red head girl from Pennsauken moved to Dexter Street. Jp, Quinny, Caitlin and I were new roommates and finally not living in our respective parents house. I could not have asked for a better group of people to live with. Jp, Quinny and I were friends since we were about 6 years old and Caitlin for being "the new girl" fit in perfectly with us from the start. Caitlin and I started off as strangers living together. We didn't even meet for the first time until touring the house we were about to move into. And I'll admit... The first day I met her, I thought to myself, wow this girl is beautiful. I didn't know I liked red heads until I met Caitlin. And as the year in Manayunk passed, I found myself spending more and more time with Caitlin. We worked out together, cooked dinners, hung around on Sunday's watching TV, chatted about trips we wanted to take, listened to country music, and just got to know each other as new friends. Then we became a bit closer. Soon I found myself digging her car out after snowstorms, sharing stories, laughs, and beers with her on our front porch, and genuinely looking forward to coming home and seeing her after each day. For the first time in years, I was happy. And that reason was simple, I was falling in love with Caitlin. Almost 5 years later we became roommates again, this time engaged to be married. I'm so lucky to have this strong, smart, and beautiful woman to spend my life with. She is my favorite person in this world and I can't wait for all of our closest friends and family to come celebrate with us in Upstate New York this May. While our story started in Manayunk, this is just beginning.
