We know our wedding weekend and events may look a little different than most, and we appreciate your understanding in allowing us to celebrate in our own personal way. All guests will receive an invitation to the event in which they are invited. Each event will have a separate invitation in which you will need to RSVP your attendance. Of course, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to Lexie or Sam!
We have organized a room block for our guests at the Hilton Downtown Richmond. This hotel is a few blocks or a moderate walk away from our venue. Please book directly via the link on the Travel & Stay page, or by calling the Hotel and let them know you're with the Janney-Gunther wedding party. This is also where Sam and I will be staying for the wedding weekend. A shuttle service up to one mile away is available on a first-come-first-serve basis from 7A-7P.
While cocktail hour will be inside, the ceremony and celebration are planned for the outdoor, covered courtyard. In the event of weather, the pergola will include increased coverage for guests. It is also a hybrid space providing indoor space that is readily available all night.
We love your kids—we really do. However, to give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes please do!
We request that our guests dress in semi-formal/ cocktail attire for our events.
Yes, the cocktail hour and reception will feature an open bar serving a variety of liquors, beers and wine.
As this will be an unplugged ceremony, we ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We have a wonderful photographer who we know will capture our ceremony beautifully! Please take and post as many photos as you would like during the cocktail hour and celebration! You can post using our hashtag #GunnaGetMarried. We have also created a shared wedding Google drive where you can share all of your photos with us! Look for the QR codes at the event to scan and share with us! We will also share our professional photos with guests and loved ones, once they are ready.

At this time, we are not requiring masks, however, we encourage guests to get vaccinated before attending a highly-populated event in close quarters. The Common House staff will follow the venue's hospitality regulations at the time of the event. Please do not attend if you are experiencing any COVID-related symptoms or are feeling ill.
