Sayulita Traveling

Travel Documents: Make sure your passport is valid, some airlines require it to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. If you need to renew, we recommend doing it early to avoid delays. Flying In: The closest airport is Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). From there, it’s about a 35 minutes drive to Sayulita. You can book a private shuttle, get a taxi/uber at the airport, or arrange transportation through your hotel or rental. Money: The local currency is the Mexican Peso (MXN). While many spots accept credit cards or U.S. dollars, it’s a good idea to have pesos for tips, beach bars, taxis, and local vendors. ATMs are available in town, and some currency exchange is possible at the airport. Transportation in Sayulita: The town is small and super walkable, but golf carts are the way to go, they’re fun, easy to park, and perfect for getting around! We recommend booking in advance since they can go quickly during high season.
