About Us

Ryann and Nick met by pure chance at a pregame before Shuckin’ in the Street at Lee’s Pint & Shell. They were both meeting up with their own friends and didn’t realize how much their circles overlapped. They started talking, laughing, and quickly forgot about everything else going on around them. By the end of the night, Ryann’s best friend told her she had just met her husband, and friends on both sides were in agreement that they’d get married one day. The night continued with hot dogs (paid for by Ryann when Nick realized he didn’t have cash) and ended back at a friend’s house, sitting at the kitchen table talking for hours. They realized they were practically neighbors, both lived alone, and both worked from home. They exchanged numbers, and Ryann left wondering if she’d ever hear from him again. And she did, the next morning. They scheduled their first date for a couple days later, started taking lunch-break walks, and quickly became inseparable. About six months in, they started “joking” about moving in together, knowing that sounded crazy. Nick even re-signed his lease, until a month later, when they realized the joke wasn’t a joke at all. He sublet his apartment and moved in with Ryann. They've since moved into another apartment together and continue building a life filled with movie nights, games, puzzles, laughter, and travel - from their annual Rehoboth Beach weekends to trips to Ireland and Ghana. Their daily lives are full of fun and love, from exchanging handwritten notes and love letters to finding joy in even the smallest, most ordinary moments. They talked about their future early on, thought that was a little crazy too, and eventually realized they just knew. On August 22, 2025, about two years into their relationship, Nick proposed at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, completely catching Ryann off guard. That day, Ryann had no idea anything was happening and mostly just wanted to take a nap, which Nick was quietly panicking about. To keep her moving, he played her favorite songs and suggested drinks at Bellini’s on the water to watch the sunset, something she could never say no to. Before they left, Nick tried his best to act normal while Ryann and her sister did their makeup, listened to music, and picked out outfits, though Ryann was confused about why everyone was dressing so nicely, she was subtly convinced to wear her new dress, thankfully. As they turned the corner, Nick’s voice changed, and from there everything became a blur because she was in complete, happy shock. Nick guided her down by the water, got down on one knee, and Ryann froze long enough that he had to prompt her to answer. She said yes, the easiest yes of her life. Ryann looked up to see her sister, brother-in-law, and best friend waving from a nearby gazebo they were hiding in. The celebration continued at Wiley Gunter’s, where Ryann thought they were meeting immediate family, only to walk into a room full of friends and family ready to celebrate. Now they’re counting down to September 4, 2026, and can’t wait to celebrate the life they’ve built and everything still ahead, with their favorite people.
