Amanda and Melissa met in 2016 at Arcadia University in a freshman class called "Must Love Dogs". They quickly became friends and lived together for 2 years throughout their time in college. They have remained best friends since graduation.

Mike has been Jake's best friend since 3rd grade. Mike became so close with Jake's family that they refer to each other as "brother" and Jake's parents even think of him as a son. Jake and Mike agreed to be each other's best man in 6th grade and Jake is honored to have Mike by his side on his special day.
Allison Reed

Amanda and Allison met in 6th grade at Grice Middle School. They quickly became best friends and even spent many "twin days" dressed the same (as well as many non-intentional twin days). Allison is Amanda's oldest friend.
Samuel Grindlinger

Sam is Jake's older cousin. They grew up very close to each other and were almost like brothers. They used to own a landscaping business called "Grindlinger's Greens" which they ran together for 5 years before Jake went away for college.
Samantha Buchner

Samantha is Amanda's older sister. Amanda and Samantha were not always the best of friends growing up, but their sister relationship has gotten much stronger as they have gotten older. Amanda had the pleasure of watching Samantha get married from the front row in August 2024 and can't wait to have her sister by her side for her own wedding!
Jayson Grindlinger

Jayson is Jake's younger cousin. Jayson worked with Sam and Jake in their "Grindlinger's Greens" landscaping business. Jake has been proud to see Jayson grow into the man he is today and is thrilled to have him standing beside him for his wedding.
Joanna Buchner

Joanna is Amanda's younger sister. Amanda and Joanna have a fun relationship that centers mostly around animals (primarily their pet guinea pigs Nutmeg & Mocha) and being outdoors (going for walks, picking berries, swimming in the ocean, etc.).

Mike is Jake's odler cousin. Mike made a huge impact on Jake's childhood by introducing him to many of his hobbies and favorite video games including Kingdom Hearts. They can spend hours talking about the games they are playing and new tech.
Gianna Grindlinger

Gianna is Jake's younger sister. Amanda first met Gianna as her "Peer Leader" in Gianna's 9th-grade health class. Amanda led lessons in Gianna's class about transitioning to high school and making good choices. Since meeting Jake, Amanda and Gianna have become good friends and she loves spending time with the couple.
Godfrey Virgil

Godfrey is one of Jake's childhood friends. They first met while carrying an injured classmate up a mountain in middle school. Throughout high school and college, they ran a YouTube channel together where they wrote, directed, and filmed videos. Godfrey also worked with Jake at "Grindlinger's Greens".
Madison Grindlinger

Madison is Jake's youngest sister. Amanda first met Madison when she was only 6 years old! She has loved watching Madison grow up and mature into a young adult. Madison loves visiting the guinea pigs and coming over Jake and Amanda's apartment for Ghibli movie nights.
Brandon Velasquez

Brandon is Jake's high school friend. The first time they met ended with a light saber battle in a movie theater parking lot and they have remained friends ever since. Jake gets to see Brandon a lot more recently as they work together at Prior Nami Business Systems where Jake is training Brandon in IT work.
