It all started when Emily went along with Sydney (Tyler's older sister) to watch her younger brother's baseball game. It was a classic freshman ball game, but Emily was immediately drawn to her teammate's cute younger brother... but then, she didn't think twice about it. Until later that fall, in their sophomore year of high school, when fate put her and Tyler in the same Spanish class. Their teacher must've known what he was doing, because every seating arrangement just so happened to conveniently put Emily and Tyler right next to each other. Within one day of sitting next to Tyler in class, Emily went home and decided "this is the boy I like", and texted him about the Spanish homework (which didn't exist-she was just making conversation). The flirty moments went on for a couple of months, leaving Emily wondering if the cute boy from her Spanish class would ever like her back! Luckily, and unknowingly for Emily, he had liked her the whole time, and finally worked up the courage to ask her on a date in January. They had their first date on January 11th, 2020, at Five Guys, followed by a couple of games of bowling at Player's & Spectators (of course, chauffeured by their parents, because hello, they are only 15!). Just about a week later, on January 17th, Tyler asked Emily to officially be his girlfriend. The two were practically inseparable from the start. The most perfect of high school sweethearts, who made it through many difficult life challenges within the first few months of them dating (aka a worldwide pandemic), but that didn't matter to them. From always buying two coffees in the morning on the way to school, to eating lunch together everyday, attending each other's games, (and maybe even skipping class together once or twice), the best part of highschool was always having eachother. They even convinced their counselor senior year to switch their class schedules around, so they ended up having 5 out of their 6 classes together, and convinced their leadership advisor to make some adjustments to the graduation order, so they could walk across the stage together (talk about smooth talkers). The two attended North Idaho College, so Emily could pursue her dream of playing college softball, where Tyler supported her every step of the way. Afterwards, Tyler continued his education at Eastern Washington University in Financial Advising, and Emily at Washington State University in Speech and Hearing Sciences. As their junior year was wrapping up, Emily received a text from her boss at The Farmhouse on Green Bluff, asking if she could come work the Mother's Day Event. Emily happily agreed, as her parents would be out of town, and Tyler would be working. But, when she got up there, there was Tyler, Emily’s parents, and his family, where he pulled off the surprise of a lifetime, and asked Emily to marry him. It was the most perfect day, and everything they had both been waiting for since they were 15. They are so excited to FINALLY be married, and they hope you can make it and celebrate with them!
