Friday night is part indoors, part outdoors — we’ll have half the brewery to ourselves. Choose your own adventure. There will be no need to go on the patio if you do not wish to be outside.

A complimentary wedding shuttle will run between the Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate Golf Resort & Spa and Castle & Key Distillery. 4:45 PM – ALL Guest pickup at Marriott Griffin Gate (main entrance) 8:50 PM – Shuttle to hotel 9:55 PM – Shuttle to hotel 11:00 PM – Final shuttle to hotel (recommended for groups under 55 guests) 📢 Important Note: Cell service at Castle & Key is spotty, and Uber/Lyft are basically nonexistent. If you're not staying at the wedding hotel, please plan ahead for a designated driver.
The dress code is Garden Party Cocktail Attire—think light and breezy! Dresses, dressy separates, and suits are all perfect for the occasion. 📢 Weather Consideration: The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, and August in Kentucky can be warm and humid. We recommend lightweight, breathable fabrics to stay comfortable. 👠Footwear Tip: Please avoid thin heels, as they may sink into the grass or get caught in grates. A block heel, wedge, or dressy flat is a better option for the venue.
Yes! We’ll be featuring a selection of Castle & Key spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer. There will be four delicious cocktails on draft — yes, including espresso martinis!
August in Kentucky is typically warm and humid, with temperatures averaging in the mid-80s°F (around 29°C). We recommend dressing accordingly, especially as part of our day will take place outdoors.
No stress — we’ve got a rain plan. If you’re riding the shuttle, Castle & Key staff will direct you the moment you step off the bus so you’ll stay dry and know exactly where to go. Once you’re on the bus, your only job is to sit back and enjoy the ride. Driving solo? Let Castle & Key staff know you are here for the wedding and they will direct you. BUT IT'S NOT GOING TO RAIN!
4:45 PM sharp from the Marriott Griffin Gate. Please don’t be late — the bus will not wait! If you are late, drive your car to Castle & Key. You can park overnight without any issues!
Absolutely! The party starts the second you step on board. We have Castle Captains on each bus to keep the vibe going, with drinks, music, and plenty of good energy all the way to Castle & Key.
Castle & Key has on-site parking available for guests. If your plans change and you need overnight parking, it's not an issue! Uber/Lyft options are extremely limited at the venue, so we strongly encourage using the complimentary shuttle.

The ceremony begins promptly at 5:30 PM, and we kindly ask guests to begin arriving around 5:00 PM to allow time for seating. Guests using the shuttle should board at the hotel between 4:30 and 4:45PM. The shuttle will leave at 4:45PM. Want to arrive earlier? Bar on-site: Feel free to grab a drink before the ceremony. Distillery Tour: You can register for a Castle & Key distillery tour at castleandkey.com. Tours run throughout the day, but if you’re taking the early wedding shuttle from the hotel, we recommend booking the 3:30 PM tour. 📢 Important: Distillery tours require separate registration and may fill up quickly, so reserve your spot early!
