Our journey with Castle & Key began on December 1, 2023. We were in Louisville, KY, for the wedding of dear friends when someone in our group suggested a visit to this remarkable distillery. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the beauty of the property—and fell in love with their spirits even more. During the tour, Alan quietly imagined what an incredible place this would be for a wedding. That evening, he noticed Blake scrolling through his phone, where the words “Weddings at Castle & Key” lit up the screen. It felt like fate. After we got engaged, Castle & Key was the first venue that came to mind for both of us. Now, we are thrilled to celebrate our special day with all of you in this remarkable place. About Castle & Key Distillery Originally built in 1887 as the Old Taylor Distillery, Castle & Key has a storied past. Known for its grand architecture and picturesque grounds, it was one of Kentucky’s most iconic distilleries before falling into disrepair for decades. Thanks to a meticulous restoration, it reopened in 2018, blending its rich history with modern craftsmanship. The distillery is celebrated for its bourbon, rye, gin, and vodka, all crafted with care and innovation. Its breathtaking gardens and limestone castle have made it a sought-after destination, not only for spirits enthusiasts but also for those seeking a truly unique venue. During our wedding, we’ll have Castle & Key’s exceptional spirits at the bar, so you’ll have the opportunity to sample the flavors that inspired our love for this place. We can’t wait for you to experience the charm and magic of Castle & Key with us!
