Things to do

We fell in love with the Dordogne area and we highly recommend staying for a few days to really get the most out of the trip.
If you love wide open countryside, beautiful views and are partial to wine, and good food, spend a day or two visiting some of the many vineyards that line the valley. The beautiful towns of St Emillion and Perigueux are within an hour and are well worth a visit.
As well as many historic towns, the area has various outdoor activities on the river Dordogne such as kayaking and hiking. There are also plenty of local markets and world class restaurants where you can enjoy delicacies like the Perigord Truffle.
There are golf clubs in the area, many rare indigenous flora & fauna, and plenty to do. Muck around in the river, grab a bike to pedal around, trek on horseback, visit the monolithic church in Aubeterre: life here is buckets of outdoor fun.
