FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kate Rainey and Mitch Ginther
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask that all our guests dress up to celebrate the occasion — you know what we'll be wearing! There is no specific dress code, but no jeans, please.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to size limitations, no kids outside of nieces, nephews, and first cousins will be at our wedding. All guest names are listed on your invitation and RSVP. We are both blessed with such big families and are looking forward to celebrating with them.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

It's important to us that we celebrate our special day with those closest to us who have impacted our lives & our love story. All guests are individually named on the invitation and RSVP.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held indoors, with an outdoor cocktail hour (weather permitting).

Question

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

There are two free parking lots on-site at the Des Moines Heritage Center. Please don't pay for street parking! All cars are able to be left overnight, but must be collected on Sunday, August 30.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early, so everyone can be seated comfortably before the ceremony begins. Our Catholic wedding ceremony will begin at 2 p.m., and we appreciate your reverence in advance.
