Depending on the day, the temperatures could be in the high 60s, but at night, it averages about 40°F or could reach 25°F. Make sure to pack your thermal wear and your warm winter clothes!
Our ceremony will be outdoors, and our reception will be indoors. Expect temperatures to reach about 25°F at night. Wear your layers under your semi-formal attire. Heaters will be provided on the Wedding Deck.
Breckenridge has a bag fee of 50¢ per bag. Unless you don't mind spending 50¢ per bag every time you make a purchase then you're fine! Breckenridge also does NOT allow single use plastic water bottles. It is mandatory to bring your own reusable water bottles. There are refill stations throughout the whole town.
Altitude sickness, also known as acute mountain sickness, is a physiological response to the challenges posed by high altitudes. Due to low oxygen our bodies do not receive the same nutrients delivered by oxygen rich blood cells at sea level. Most commonly happening between 12-24hrs of arrival and coming straight from the airport altitude sickness can affect anyone no matter what shape they are in. Symptoms of altitude sickness can include: -Headache -Nausea and vomiting -Fatigue -Dizziness -Shortness of breath -Difficulty sleeping -Loss of appetite
Hydrating before arriving to Colorado is key to preventing altitude sickness. Drink about 2-3 liters (5-6.5 cups) per day before your trip. Breckenridge, Colorado is 9,600 feet above sea level, therefore accelerates dehydration. When arriving to Colorado, try to drink twice the amount of water you would at home. Drinking electrolytes will also help replenish lost minerals & vitamins.
