Question

How are you planning for a wedding in this pandemic?!

Answer

It is certainly a crazy time for us! We can’t say with certainty what the wedding will be like until Massachusetts state pandemic guidelines for May 2021 are available. In many of our answers below, you will see a lot of uncertainty. We hope that you will be gracious with us as we take our time to make (and possibly change) these plans in the wisest, safest ways we can! We’ll be in touch when our plans become more settled, and you can always check back here on our website for updates.

Question

What will your wedding ceremony look like?

Answer

We are currently planning on holding our ceremony indoors at Park Street Church in downtown Boston, which has a very large sanctuary. This space can easily accommodate many guests in person while maintaining social distance, and the church has had months of successful and safe in-person gatherings through the pandemic. We will adhere to safety protocol required by the church and the state such as masks, distancing, sanitization, and contact tracing.

Question

If I cannot attend in person, how do I access your ceremony livestream?

Answer

Even if you can’t be with us physically, we would LOVE for you to join us virtually on our YouTube livestream. We will be distributing the YouTube link directly to you via email, so make sure we have your up-to-date contact info here: https://www.zola.com/addr/2KD6YnLGQ

Question

What about a reception?

Answer

We are planning on hosting an outdoor cocktail hour and seated dinner reception following our wedding ceremony. While we would dearly love to throw the world’s best party for everyone we know, the reception will be limited to a smaller group of close friends and family to keep our gathering as safe as possible. We will have a receiving line after the ceremony to make sure everyone has the chance to say hello to us even if they can’t come to the reception.

Question

How many people will be gathered in person on your wedding day?

Answer

You should expect to see between 80-130 people gathered on our wedding day. For the ceremony at Park Street Church, we will only reach 16% of the sanctuary’s capacity, so there will be plenty of space to spread out. The number of guests at our reception will be based on our venue’s ability to seat guests at tables spaced 6ft apart, and will also be well under the state’s current guidelines for the 150-person capacity at outdoor weddings.

Question

What COVID precautions do I need to follow as a guest at your wedding?

Answer

We will have a full explanation of our expectations for guest safety in light of the COVID-19 pandemic available soon. This will include following state guidelines for testing or quarantine after travel, wearing masks, social distancing, etc.

Question

Will you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes! We've registered with Zola, so you can find our registry right here on our website! Just go to the menu at the top and select "Registry."

Question

What’s next after you get married?

Answer

TBD! Ryan is graduating from Northeastern Law School a week before our wedding and he’s currently in the process of looking for jobs in the Boston area. Hit us up with any leads :)
