We are thrilled to be getting married in Amanda's hometown of Boston in May and we hope that you will be able to join us in celebrating the joyous day. This is an unusually difficult time to make certain plans, but whatever the world looks like in the spring, we love you and we can’t wait to share the start of our marriage with you whether in-person or online!

We met through the Christian Fellowship at Bowdoin College Amanda’s freshman year in 2014. But, we didn’t talk much until the next year when Ryan lived across the hall from Amanda. That spring, to our surprise, we found ourselves missing each other when Ryan went abroad to Scotland. Ryan’s senior year, after countless breakfasts and study dates, he worked up the courage to ask Amanda out. We went on their first date on Valentine’s Day of 2017 (a complete coincidence, he claims) and it was a smashing success! We’ve dated through many exciting and strange seasons in the four years since then - Amanda’s senior year, Ryan’s move to Boston for law school, Amanda’s summers on Martha’s Vineyard with FOCUS, and of course, the COVID-19 Pandemic. 2020 has been many things, but most importantly, it was the year we decided to plan our future together! In August on a beautiful summer evening, Ryan asked Amanda to marry him in front of the Boston skyline, and she of course said yes!

1. Ryan graduates from Northeastern School of Law in May as well! Pray that the Lord would guide and provide in his job search. 2. Amanda hopes to be in-person with FOCUS students on Martha’s Vineyard this summer. Pray for relief from the pandemic in 2021 both for our wedding celebrations and Amanda’s ministry. 3. 2020 has been hard, but more than anything we are grateful that it was the year we decided to get married! Thank God with us for the gift of marriage and may he give us his love and grace as we grow together.
